Origins

Who Is Prashant Trivedi

Prashant Trivedi is the founder, author, audio-visual artist, and filmmaker behind LotusOcean — a body of work that integrates timeless Vedic wisdom with a (w)holistic approach to contemporary life. Through meditation, music, film, literature, and education, LotusOcean explores consciousness, well-being, inner development, and a more grounded relationship with the natural world.

Rather than presenting a fixed belief system, Trivedi’s approach centers on direct experience, inquiry, and personal discovery — a theme documented in ongoing posts on his Facebook page. The premise is that genuine transformation comes from integrating awareness, intention, and everyday action, not from insight alone.

Practice

LotusOcean Meditation

At the center of LotusOcean is LotusOcean meditation, a contemplative practice designed to support presence, centering, self-awareness, and a deepened sense of connectedness. It is practiced by groups around the world, both in person and online.

Rather than directing attention inward in isolation, the practice encourages an expanded field of awareness — a sense of being interconnected with nature, the living Earth, and the wider field of existence. Practitioners describe outcomes such as greater calm and groundedness; individual experiences vary. A closer look at how sessions are taught is covered in a recent article.

Literature

Vedic Astrology & Published Works

Beyond LotusOcean, Trivedi is recognized internationally for his contributions to Vedic Astrology (Jyotish). His 2005 book, The Book of Nakshatras: A Comprehensive Treatise on the 27 Constellations, is widely credited with reviving interest in Nakshatra-based Jyotish and remains a frequently cited modern reference in the field. The ideas behind the book are explored further in a dedicated article.

His earlier work, The Rahu Ketu Experience (2002), is likewise regarded as a notable contribution to contemporary Vedic astrological literature. LotusOcean’s broader catalogue of books and publications has been translated into multiple languages and explores consciousness, human development, and practical living.

Sound & Film

Music, Film & Audio-Visual Work

Sound and music form another central expression of the LotusOcean journey. Composed and produced by Trivedi, the catalogue spans meditative concerts staged in natural settings, full-band performances, and improvisational jams, presented as audio-visual pieces rather than conventional recordings. More on the recording and filming process is covered in a separate article.

The intent behind the work is less about performance in the traditional sense and more about creating a shared space for reflection, celebration, and inner transformation. Full recordings are archived on LotusOcean’s official website.

Research

Consciousness & the Crop Circle Phenomenon

Trivedi’s research also extends to the crop circle phenomenon, which he studies through the lens of consciousness, sacred geometry, and symbolism — part of a broader inquiry into humanity’s relationship with intelligence in nature and the wider cosmos.

This strand of research sits alongside the meditation practice and music as another facet of the same underlying inquiry: what it means to live in a more conscious, connected relationship with the natural world. Updates on this and other projects are posted on LotusOcean’s video archive on YouTube and LotusOcean’s Instagram page.
